Bruce ready to turn to Zaki

Soccer Betting Lines

04/29/2009 - Wigan, England (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Wigan boss Steve Bruce is ready to turn to out-of-favor striker Amr Zaki as he looks to revitalize his struggling attack.

The Latics have slipped out of the running for a top-seven finish and a place in Europe next season after three straight defeats in which they have scored just one goal.

Zaki has not started a game for two months after earning the wrath of Bruce when reporting back late from international duty for a third time this season.

But although the on-loan Egypt striker's long-term future at the JJB Stadium is in serious doubt, Bruce is ready to recall Zaki for Saturday's derby visit of Bolton.

"For what he has done, if I had six strikers I would probably go down a different avenue," Bruce told the Wigan Post.

"But the one thing I won't do is leave the team short.

"The team is the most important thing for me - and obviously the club.

"So if I have to use him I will use him. After all we are paying him - when he is here!"

MySportsbook.com Posts Heisman Trophy Odds

With 3,919 passing yards, 32 touchdowns and a mere seven interceptions last season, combined with a powerful South Bend Heisman legacy, odds makers at MySportsbook.com have given Notre Dame senior quarterback Brady Quinn the best Heisman Trophy odds at 5-2.

Quinn isn’t the only big man on campus this season.  Oklahoma junior running back and 2004 Heisman runner-up Adrian Peterson, listed at 7-2, rushed for a combined 3,033 yards in his first two years as a college player and will give Quinn a run for his money.

This online sportsbook has also listed Troy Smith, Ohio State senior quarterback, as another strong favorite to win the 72nd Heisman Trophy.  A 7-1 bet, Smith threw for 2,282 yards last season and also led the Buckeyes to a convincing 34-20 victory over Quinn and the Fighting Irish in last season’s Fiesta Bowl.
